Processing of personal data through cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the storage medium of your end device, for example on a hard drive, and through which we, as the body that sets the cookie, receive certain information. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your end device.

(a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

Cookies, which are stored associated with your web browser:

  • Transient cookies: these cookies are automatically deleted when you close your web browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, by means of which various requests of your web browser can be assigned to the common session. This makes it possible to recognize your terminal device when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted as soon as you log out or close the web browser.
  • Persistent cookies: these cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time in the settings of your web browser.

The processing of personal data by means of the above-mentioned cookies serves to make the offer of our Internet presence more user-friendly and effective for you overall. Some functions of our Internet presence cannot be offered without the use of these cookies. In particular, some functions of our Internet presence require that your web browser can still be identified after a page change. If you have an account, we use the cookies to identify you for subsequent visits. This prevents you from having to log in again each time you visit our website. The data processed by cookies that are required to provide the functions of our website are not used to create user profiles. Insofar as cookies are used for analysis purposes, they serve to improve the quality and user-friendliness of our Internet presence, its contents and functions. They allow us to track how the website, which functions and how often they are used. This enables us to continuously optimize our offer.

Our legitimate interest in data processing lies in the aforementioned purposes.

The above cookies are stored on your terminal device and transmitted from it to our server. You can therefore configure the processing of data and information by cookies yourself. You can make appropriate configurations in the settings of your web browser, through which you can, for example, reject third-party cookies or cookies altogether. In this context, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all functions of our website properly. In addition, we recommend a regular manual deletion of cookies as well as your browser history.

In this context, we ask you to explain the reasons on the basis of which you object to the processing of your personal data by us. Please address your revocation or objection to our contact details above.

Google Analytics

We use "Google Analytics" on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as: "Google"). Google uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your terminal device and enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If anonymization of the IP address to be transmitted by the cookie is activated on the website by the extension "_anonymizeIp()" (hereinafter referred to as: "IP anonymization"), your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage on our behalf. In doing so, pseudonymous usage profiles can be created from the processed data.

The IP address transmitted when using Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

We use Google Analytics only with the previously described activated IP anonymization. This means that your IP address is only processed by Google in a shortened form. A personal reference can thus be excluded.

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website and to continuously improve individual functions and offers as well as the user experience. Through the statistical evaluation of user behavior, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.

This is also our legitimate interest in the processing of the above data by Google.

Google Tag Manager provides for the triggering of other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

We use "Google Web Fonts" on our website, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as: "Google"). Google Web Fonts enables us to use external fonts, so-called Google Fonts. For this purpose, the required Google Font is loaded into your browser cache by your web browser when you access our website. This is necessary so that your browser can also display a visually improved representation of our texts. If your browser does not support this function, a standard font will be used by your computer for display. The integration of these web fonts is done by a server call, usually a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which page of our website you have visited. Also, the IP address of the browser of the end device of the visitor is stored by Google.

We use Google Web Fonts for optimization purposes, in particular to improve the use of our website for you and to make its design more user-friendly.

Google AdWords

We use "Google Adwords" on our website, a service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as: "Google"). Google Adwords enables us to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords). This enables us to determine how successful individual advertising measures are. These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called "Ad Servers". For this purpose, we use so-called ad server cookies, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days. They are not intended to identify you personally. The following information is usually stored as analysis values for this cookie: unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed). These cookies enable Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of the website of an Adwords customer and the cookie stored on his computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Adwords customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of Google AdWords. To the best of our knowledge, Google receives the information that you have called up the relevant part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you have a user account with Google and are registered, Google can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the Google learns your IP address and stores it.

We use Google AdWords for marketing and optimization purposes, in particular to place relevant and interesting ads for you, to improve campaign performance reports and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. This is also our legitimate interest in processing the above data.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by deleting existing cookies and deactivating a storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We point out that in this case you may not be able to use all features of our website in full.
